He started his teaching career at Arunai Engineering College, Tiruvannamalai in the year 1996 and joined as an Assistant Professor of Physics in the University College of Engineering Villupuram, a Constituent College of Anna University Chennai in the year 2008.

He has served as a dedicated Physics teacher in many reputed engineering colleges for the past 15 years. He is popular among the undergraduate Engineering students of Tamil Nadu. He has authored many books in applied Physics & Engineering Physics. To his credit, he has 24 International research publications in refereed international Journals and actively participated in many Conferences, Symposia and Seminars at National and International levels. He is a member of Board of Studies in Anna University of Technology, Chennai and also Academic council member in Tiruvalluvar University, Vellore.

I am happy to welcome everyone from all walks of life and all parts of the state of Tamil Nadu to be a part of University College of Engineering Arni (UCEA), a Constituent College of Anna University of Technology Chennai. In the context of commercialization of education in India, University College of Engineering Arni has always stood for Values and for the empowerment of the poor. Our aim is to remain at the forefront centers of learning, teaching and research. UCEA strive to promote academic excellence and equal access to all, especially to the poor and the marginalized sections of the society.

It was widely accepted and an eternal truth viewed by all academicians that the institution growth does not lie on the beauty of bricks and buildings, but it mainly rely on the academic performance of the students. Hence, to improve the students’ standards of Education, the career of teachers have to be built properly. We never let down this thumb rule and infact all the  faculty members of the University College of Engineering Arni are highly motivated to carry out research activities in the frontier areas of science and technology and to pursue Ph.D programmes in their disciplines.

As a Principal of the College, I provide academic leadership and direction to maintain the academic standards and to ensure that the College continues to retain its world class recognition with Potential for Excellence. With our distinct student centred teaching-learning and evaluation methodology, our students will be able to face the challenges of life successfully and be men and women for others. While I gratefully acknowledge the great contribution from both Anna University Chennai and Anna University of Technology Chennai for their kind financial and moral support in fulfilling our mission of providing quality education with social responsibility to the students, I warmly seek their continued participation in the curriculum update, in the capacity building of the students, in the successful implementation of all programmes, currently offered by the institution.

On this moment, I also remember a famous quote that “Rome was not built in one day”, neither was the University College of Engineering (UCEA). Deliberating on this concept, a working model for over 2 years, and the institution is functioning tirelessly since the date of laying the foundation stone of the college.

Finally, I would like to conclude that the success University College of Engineering Arni may not be evaluated in a single day, may not be possible in first 100 days and may not be easy in first 2 years. But, what is important is that, we have begun and we are confident of taking UCEA with our co-operation and collaboration to ever, newer heights. With the propelling dynamism of “EVER TO EXCEL”, we march forward and invite all to journey with us.
