A constituent college of Anna university of Technology Chennai is presently housed in the renovated heritage Rani Palace buildings located in the Sathya Vijaya Nagaram village at Arni, a small town in the district of Tiruvannamalai. It is about 40 km from Vellore and 120 km from Chennai. The institution was established in the year 2009, by the Government of TamilNadu. Currently, 484 students have been enrolled for B.E. Degree Programme under various disciplines.
At the time of establishment, the Institution has offered 4 undergraduate B.E. Degree programmes and an addition branch in Mechanical Engineering through Tamil as medium of Instruction has been introduced right from the academic year 2010-2011 onwards. Faculty of all departments possesses prerequisite qualifications with very good Research records. Most of them are recognized Research supervisors of Anna University of technology Chennai and Anna University Chennai. The rest of them have registered for Ph.D. and some are pursuing their Research in frontier areas of Engineering and Technology. Without compromising the quality of education, in order to keep the students shining in their academic career, the Institution has also inducted nearly 19 visiting faculty/Teaching Fellows..
